Dust storms are expected to hit some regions of Uzbekistan on July 24, with temperatures reaching up to 44 degrees Celsius, Turanews.kz reports.
In Tashkent, the weather is expected to be partly cloudy, with no precipitation. The temperature will be 24-26 degrees Celsius at night and 38-40 degrees Celsius during the day.
In Bukhara and Navoi regions, the temperature will be 25-30 degrees Celsius at night and 39-44 degrees Celsius during the day. East winds of 7-12 meters per second are expected, with gusts of up to 20-22 meters per second in some areas. Dust storms are also possible in some areas.
The authorities have advised residents to stay indoors and to avoid driving if possible. They have also warned that the dust storms could cause respiratory problems.
The dust storms are expected to subside by the end of the week.
