Criminal Group Organizing Illegal Immigration Arrested in Kyrgyzstan

A criminal group consisting of citizens from the Islamic Republic of Pakistan has been arrested for organizing the illegal entry of migrants into Kyrgyzstan for a fee.

According to law enforcement agencies, the Pakistani nationals were involved in creating fake documents to illegally bring migrants into Kyrgyzstan for work purposes. A criminal case was initiated under Kyrgyzstan’s Criminal Code for “Organizing illegal immigration, bringing migrants into the country illegally,” and three Pakistani citizens born in 1984, 1991, and 1995 were arrested and taken into custody for investigation.

The investigation revealed that the suspects had created fake visas for their fellow nationals for $2,000 and had seized their wages in return. In addition, 12 Pakistani nationals and one Nepali citizen, whose visas had expired, were identified and fined 71,500 soms.

The investigation is ongoing.
