China and Tajikistan Advocate for Inclusive Government in Afghanistan

China and Tajikistan have expressed their support for the establishment of an inclusive government in Afghanistan, comprising representatives from all ethnic, religious, and political groups. This joint statement was made on Friday during Chinese President Xi Jinping's state visit to Tajikistan.

The joint document emphasizes that an independent, neutral, united, inclusive, and peaceful Afghanistan, free from terrorism, war, and drugs, and living harmoniously with its neighbors, aligns with the common interests of the Afghan people and the entire region.

The statement was released during President Xi’s visit to Tajikistan following his participation in the 24th meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Astana and his state visit to Kazakhstan.
