China and Central Asian Nations Sign Over $17 Billion in Deals at Astana Forum
More than 35 agreements worth over $17 billion were signed during the second meeting of the China–Central Asia Business Council held in Astana, according to Murat Karimsakov, Deputy Chairman of Kazakhstan's National Chamber of Entrepreneurs "Atameken".

The deals cover major sectors such as green energy, infrastructure, logistics, trade, and the development of new economic hubs.
Karimsakov noted that the format began in 2023 in Xi’an, supported by the leaders of China and Central Asian countries. This year’s forum gathered over 1,000 participants from six nations, and included panel discussions, exhibitions, and B2B meetings.
In 2024, trade volume between China and Central Asia reached $95 billion, with nearly half attributed to Kazakhstan. Bilateral trade between Kazakhstan and China alone hit a record $44 billion.
