Central Asian Youth Forum in honor of Chingiz Aitmatov

A Central Asian Youth Forum was held in Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyzstan, on August 10-11, 2023. The event was organized by the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan in honor of the 95th anniversary of the birth of Chingiz Aitmatov, a renowned Kyrgyz author Turanews.kz reports.

The forum brought together activists, young leaders, representatives of government agencies and NGOs from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan. The participants discussed a variety of topics related to youth development, including education, employment, entrepreneurship, and civic engagement.

In his opening remarks, Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy Altynbek Maksutov said that the purpose of the forum was to create a platform for the exchange of creative ideas and knowledge, which would contribute to the development of youth.

“I hope this forum will become a new idea for friendship, the beginning of new projects. Let’s turn Central Asia into a platform where young people can realize their full potential,” the minister said.

The forum concluded with a call to action for young people to work together to build a better future for Central Asia. The participants pledged to continue to work together to promote peace, cooperation, and development in the region.
