Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan are gearing up to export “green” energy to Europe, TuraNews.kz reports.
The Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan has confirmed that the three countries have not only agreed on the technical conditions for the export of renewable energy but also laid the groundwork for establishing a joint venture.
This collaborative initiative took shape during a meeting of the energy and economy ministers from Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, and Kazakhstan in Baku. The discussions at the event centered around the potential for exporting electricity from Central Asian nations to Europe, utilizing the infrastructure and resources available in Azerbaijan.
Following the fruitful discussions, the ministers concluded the meeting by signing a joint communique.
The document highlights the countries’ collective potential in the field of renewable energy and their shared commitment to participating in a project aimed at exporting electricity generated from alternative sources to Europe. The agreement reflects a growing regional cooperation in the pursuit of environmentally friendly energy solutions, aligning with global efforts to transition towards sustainable practices.
