Former ministry staff, diplomats, foreign mission leaders, and ambassadors from various countries gathered at the National History Museum in Bishkek to attend the exhibition organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The exhibition showcased historical moments and visits dating back to the ministry’s inception, including ceremonies where ambassadors presented their letters of credence and photographs capturing ministers during their service in different regions.
Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers, Edil Baysalov, emphasized in his opening speech the country’s commitment to a multi-vector foreign policy despite evolving geopolitical landscapes.
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jeenbek Kulubayev, underlined the ministry’s founding in March 17, 1944, and delineated its history into two distinct periods: 1944-1990 and post-1991, following the declaration of independence. Reflecting on the exhibition, Kulubayev remarked, “While some may see mere photographs, for others, it encapsulates a lifetime of dedicated service.”
Distinguished guests at the event included Kyrgyz ambassadors Apas Cumagulov, Canıl Tümönbayeva, İşengül Bolcurova, and Askar Aytmaov.
