Turkish Interior Ministry: Casualties from Ankara attack rises to five
Türkiye’s Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced on TRT Haber that the number of fatalities from the terrorist attack near the headquarters of Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ) in Ankara has risen to five. Additionally, 22 people were injured, with three already released from the hospital, according to TASS.
Yerlikaya suggested that the attack may be linked to the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK). “We will share further details and evidence after confirming the identities of the attackers,” he said.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was kept informed of the situation from the initial report of the attack until the threat was neutralized.
