Cable Public Transport Set to Debut in Tashkent

In a bid to enhance urban mobility, Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, is gearing up to introduce cable public transport.

As per the press release from the Tashkent City Hall, a delegation from Tashkent held a meeting with representatives from Beijing North Bartholet Ropeway Technology Co., Ltd. in the Chinese city of Shenzhen on January 23.

During the discussions, various projects aimed at developing and improving urban transportation were considered. The meeting explored several potential collaborations concerning the types and routes of the proposed transport in Tashkent.

A significant outcome of the gathering was the signing of an investment agreement between Tashkent Invest company and Beijing North Bartholet Ropeway Technology Co., Ltd. The foreign company showcased sample projects outlining the future cable public transport system for Tashkent.

According to the City Hall, the project’s primary objective is to complement ground transport with cable taxis. The details and progress of the project will be presented to the public in advance, allowing for transparency and public awareness.
