Building of Baku’s Heydar Aliyev Center painted in colors of Turkish flag
The Heydar Aliyev Center, one of the architectural symbols of Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, was painted in the colors of the Turkish flag on the evening of February 7, Turanews.kz reports citing Anadolu Agency
The action was organized as a sign of solidarity with Turkey and the Turkish people after the devastating earthquakes in the south of the country.
The Turkish flag will be projected onto the center building at 22:00 local time for several days.
On Monday, February 6, two earthquakes with a magnitude of more than seven points occurred in the southeast of Turkey (at 04.17 local time – 7.7 points and at 13.24 – 7.6 points).
At least 6,957 people have been reported killed in Türkiye with another 38,224 injured as thousands of buildings collapsed across a wide region, according to The Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) on Wednesday.
