Building Collapses in Cairo, 10 Dead
A multi-story building collapsed in Cairo, Egypt's capital, killing 10 people and injuring 8 more. Several individuals remain unaccounted for under the rubble.

According to Al-Akhbar Al-Youm, emergency vehicles and rescuers rushed to the scene of the tragedy, which occurred in the workers’ district of Kirdasa. Civil defense teams are actively conducting search operations for the missing individuals.
Witnesses claim the building’s collapse was caused by an explosion of a gas cylinder. Police are currently investigating the incident.
In Cairo, with a population of over 26 million, violations of construction norms and the poor quality of building materials are frequent issues.
In recent years, several such accidents have been reported in the city.
