Black tomatoes have started to be grown in Uzbekistan

In Surkhandarya and Bukhara regions of the Uzbekistan, black tomatoes have been grown as an experiment for several years to study their climatic suitability for our region and consumer demand for such products, Turanews.kz reports citing Yuz.uz.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, black tomatoes are rich in antioxidants that cleanse the human body, improve the functioning of the brain and heart.

Plant pigments strengthen blood vessels and immunity, help to remove excess fluid from the body and prevent swelling.

Black tomatoes actually have a chocolate color, not black, and are considered sweeter than regular ones.

Varieties of this type of tomatoes: “Black Prince”, “Brown shaker”, “Black elephant”, “Marshmallow in chocolate”.
