Bitcoin continued its downward trend on Monday, falling below €75,000 during European trading, Euronews reports.
The cryptocurrency entered December with a 6% decline.
It is currently trading at around €73,500, notably lower than the expected €78,000 forecast. In October, bitcoin had surged to an all-time high of €110,000 before rapidly losing momentum.
Analysts attribute the decline to a sharp increase in selling pressure, as investors move to lock in profits after the recent peak.
