Bishkek is set to host the autumn session of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) on November 16-17, TuraNews.kz reports.
The upcoming session promises a series of significant events, including the 56th plenary meeting of the CIS IPA (Interparliamentary Assembly), a gathering of the IPA CIS Council, and a meeting of the CIS Youth Interparliamentary Assembly.
The agenda also encompasses the active involvement of permanent commissions of the IPA CIS, focusing on political issues, international cooperation, social policy, and human rights.
Distinguished leaders and deputies from Commonwealth countries will partake in international conferences commemorating the 85th anniversary of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic and the 95th anniversary of the birth of the renowned Kyrgyz writer, Chingiz Aitmatov.
Anticipated participants include delegations from the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan.
