Bishkek Holds Digital Forum of Turkic States
On October 9, a two-day forum began in Bishkek to discuss the latest achievements in the field of artificial intelligence within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States.
The two-day forum, organized by the Ministry of Digital Development of Kyrgyzstan under the leadership of President Sadyr Japarov, brought together government officials, leading AI experts, diplomats, business representatives, academics, and members of the IT industry.
Notable attendees included Edil Baisalov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan; Nuriya Kutnaeva, Minister of Digital Development; Kubanychbek Omiraliyev, Secretary-General of the Organization of Turkic States; and Ahmet Sadik Dogan, the Turkish Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan. Selcuk Bayraktar, Chairman of the Board of the Turkish Technology Team Foundation, also spoke at the event.
Baisalov announced that the Kyrgyz government has begun exploring and implementing elements of artificial intelligence. “At this digital forum, we aim to learn from the experiences of Turkic states in the field of AI,” he stated.
Secretary-General Omiraliyev emphasized the importance of collaboration, saying, “Let’s continue to work hand in hand, share our common visions, and stay connected to ensure an innovative future for Turkic states.”
Bayraktar shared insights on the progress made in Turkish aviation, the activities of Baykar, and national technology projects undertaken by the Turkish Technology Foundation. He highlighted the significance of artificial intelligence in everyday life, noting that the “Turkish Technology” group has developed a large Turkish language model called “T3 AI,” which is expected to be operational this year. “We aim to make it accessible and spread it across the Turkic world,” he added.
The forum also showcased various digital products and government services developed using artificial intelligence in Kyrgyzstan.
