Beer prices in Kazakhstan are expected to increase starting February 1, 2026, following the introduction of mandatory digital labeling for beer and beer-based beverages.
Under the new regulation, producers and importers are required to register in the labeling system and upgrade their production lines to comply with technical standards. These changes have led to higher operating costs across the industry.
Market representatives estimate that production costs have risen by 8–12%, prompting companies to factor additional expenses into final retail prices. As a result, a standard bottle of beer previously priced at around 550 tenge may soon cost between 630 and 650 tenge.
Industry experts warn that the new requirements pose particular challenges for small breweries, which face significant financial pressure due to the need for technological upgrades.
