Bakhty checkpoint on Kazakh-Chinese border to be closed for 3 days

The Bakhty automobile checkpoint on the Kazakh-Chinese border will be closed from August 18 to 20, 2023, due to the laying of external water supply networks, Turanews.kz reports.

The closure is necessary to ensure the safety of the workers and to prevent damage to the water pipes. During this time, vehicles will not be able to cross the border at Bakhty.

The Bakhty checkpoint is one of the busiest border crossings in Kazakhstan. It is used by both passenger and freight vehicles. The closure is expected to cause some inconvenience to travelers, but the work is necessary to improve the safety and efficiency of the checkpoint.

The Bakhty checkpoint is scheduled to reopen on August 21, 2023. The State Revenue Committee apologizes for any inconvenience caused by the closure.
