Azerbaijan sends school kits to earthquake-affected children in Türkiye

The Azerbaijani Diaspora Support Fund has sent 3,000 school kits to children in Türkiye who were affected by the earthquake in February. The kits were handed over to students who will be attending first grade in the fall, Turanews.kz reports citing Trend.

The kits contain essential school supplies, such as notebooks, pens, pencils, and rulers. They also include backpacks and other items that will help the children get ready for school.

The Azerbaijani Diaspora Support Fund is a non-profit organization that provides humanitarian aid to Azerbaijanis in need around the world. The fund has been active in Türkiye since the earthquake, providing food, shelter, and other assistance to those affected.

The earthquake in February was a devastating event that left thousands of people homeless and in need of help. The Azerbaijani Diaspora Support Fund is committed to providing assistance to those affected by the earthquake, and the donation of school kits is a concrete way to help the children get back to school and rebuild their lives.

The fund’s president, Eldar Hasanov, said that the donation of school kits is a small way to show the Azerbaijani people’s solidarity with the Turkish people.

“We are all one nation, and we stand together in times of need,” he said.

The donation of school kits is the latest in a series of humanitarian aid efforts by the Azerbaijani Diaspora Support Fund in Türkiye. In April, the fund delivered food aid to more than 2,600 families affected by the earthquake.
