Azerbaijan Extends Special Quarantine Regime Until July 2026

Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov has officially signed a decree extending the nationwide special quarantine regime, as reported by Anadolu Agency. The decision aims to continue monitoring and controlling the spread of COVID-19 and its potential long-term impacts.

Under the new order, the special regime will remain in effect across the Republic of Azerbaijan until 06:00 on July 1, 2026. This extension reflects the government’s cautious approach to public health safety despite global shifts in pandemic management.

In a related regional update, health authorities in Kazakhstan have reported a very low infection rate. According to Sarkhat Beisenova, Chair of the Sanitary and Epidemiological Control Committee, only six cases of COVID-19 have been registered in Kazakhstan since the beginning of this year.
