Azerbaijan Dispatches Second Humanitarian Aid Convoy to Iran

On March 18, the Azerbaijani government dispatched a new humanitarian aid convoy to address the immediate needs of the Iranian people. This initiative follows a key telephone conversation between President Ilham Aliyev and President Masoud Pezeshkian held on March 8.

The aid package, totaling 82 tons, was transported via five heavy-duty trucks. The shipment includes:

• 76 tons of essential food supplies;

• 4 tons of medicine;

• 2 tons of medical equipment.

In the spirit of the upcoming Nauryz (Nowruz) holiday, the food supplies also feature festive treats and traditional gifts. This delivery marks the second phase of assistance, following Azerbaijan’s initial aid shipment sent on March 10.
