During Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s recent visit to Kazakhstan, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev highlighted the vital role of cultural cooperation in enhancing bilateral relations. The two leaders agreed to organize reciprocal Culture Days, according to Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Culture and Information.
The program will kick off on September 24 with a presentation of the book Fizuli-530 and an ethno-jazz concert. The following day, a memorandum will be signed between the national libraries of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan, alongside the presentation of Elmira Akhundova’s book. Other highlights include the opening of the “Pearls of Azerbaijani Art” exhibition and a dance ensemble performance. On September 26, lectures on contemporary Azerbaijani art and the iconography of Tomris will be held.
The gala concert, featuring performances by Azerbaijan’s People’s Artists, will be the main event on September 26 at the K. Kuanyshbayev National Music and Drama Theater.
Earlier, in December 2023, Baku hosted Kazakhstan’s Culture Days, further strengthening the cultural partnership between the two countries.
