The legislation, titled “On Approval of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Republic of Türkiye on the abolition of double taxation in relation to income taxes and the prevention of tax evasion,” was recently published on the President of Azerbaijan’s official website.
This move comes after a signing ceremony held in Ankara on February 19, where several Azerbaijani-Turkish agreements were signed in the presence of Presidents Ilham Aliyev and Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The agreement aims to eliminate the double taxation of income and prevent tax evasion between the two nations.
