Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan Discuss Cargo Transport from China

Officials from Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan have held discussions on cargo transportation along the route from China through Central Asia to the Caspian Sea and Azerbaijan.

According to the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry, the talks took place during a meeting between Maksat Mamytkanov, the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Azerbaijan, and Elnur Aliyev, the First Deputy Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan.

The discussions focused on increasing the volume of cargo transport, particularly in light of the planned construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway.

The meeting also covered trade and economic cooperation, with talks about potential oil supplies from Azerbaijan to Kyrgyzstan and the export of Kyrgyz agricultural products such as lamb and beans.

Additionally, they discussed the operations of the Azerbaijan-Kyrgyzstan Development Fund, which recently saw its authorized capital increase to 100 million US dollars.
