Azerbaijan and Iran exchange notes of protest

Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spokesperson Ayhan Hadjizade announced that Iran gave a note to Azerbaijan to "prevent broadcasts against Iran" and Azerbaijan responded to Iran with the same justification.

In his written statement, Hadjizade stated that after Iran gave a note, Abbas Mousavi, the Ambassador of Iran to Baku, was summoned to his ministry.

He noted that a list of articles other than the general overview of the issues related to the Azerbaijani press in Iran’s note was presented to Musavi.

Hadjizade stated that it was conveyed to Mousavi that the lies and slanderous articles against Azerbaijan, which have become constant in the Iranian press, and the untrue statements of Iranian rules will damage the results of the two countries and deepen the smells.

Stating that the behaviors of those living between the two countries always stem from Iran’s unilateral attitudes and steps, Hadjizade noted that Azerbaijan’s well-intentioned steps did not receive a response from Iran.

Hadjizade stated that the need to take urgent measures for the dissemination of false and biased publications against Azerbaijan in the Iranian press was conveyed to Ambassador Mousavi.
