Astana Public Transport Fares to Increase
The cost of using public transportation in Astana is set to rise from 90 to 110 tenge starting August 1, 2024. This fare adjustment has been in the works since September 2014, when the current 90 tenge fee was implemented.
The city administration has confirmed that certain groups of citizens will continue to receive travel benefits. These include war veterans, pensioners, mothers of many children, large families, people with disabilities, and victims of political repression.
The fare increase aims to address rising operational costs for the public transport system.
