Astana Announces End of Heating Season Criteria
The Astana city administration has disclosed the conditions under which the heating season will conclude in the city.
As per the city’s energy department, the heating season will officially end when the average daily outdoor temperature in Astana reaches 10 degrees Celsius and maintains this level for a consecutive period of at least 5 days. Upon meeting these criteria, the Astana city administration will issue a corresponding resolution.
“The heating system will be deactivated once the average daily outdoor temperature reaches +10 degrees Celsius and remains at this level for 5 consecutive days,” stated the city administration in a released statement.
The process of disconnecting infrastructure facilities from heating will be carried out gradually. However, upon request from consumers, individual production facilities and legal entity buildings have the option to be disconnected from heating before the official end of the heating season.
Healthcare and educational facilities have the flexibility to extend the heating season upon submission of a written request from the consumer.
