Archaeological Artifact Discovered by Akmola Region Emergency Workers
Employees of the emergency department in Sandyktau, Akmola region, uncovered a historical artifact during the “Orman” preventive event. The workers stumbled upon a stone carving of a human face, which was promptly reported to the emergency department and the local history museum.
News of the discovery reached scientists in Astana and even internationally. The emergency workers guided these experts to the ancient monument.
Identifying the exact era of the artifact remains challenging. Opinions among scientists vary, with some suggesting it dates back to the Bronze Age, while others believe it belongs to the later Turkic period. One scientist even noted similarities with artifacts found in Siberia. Further studies will determine the accurate timeline, but it is already clear that the discovery holds significant historical value.
The artifact is currently under guard.
