Another Gas Station Explosion Reported in Uzbekistan
On August 5, a fire and explosion occurred at a gas refueling station in the Kokdala district of Uzbekistan’s Kashkadarya region, the country’s Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) reported.

According to the ministry, the incident took place while liquefied propane was being transferred from a fuel truck to a storage tank at the station located in the “Altyndala” neighborhood.
Emergency crews arrived at the scene at 22:22, containing the fire by 22:30 and fully extinguishing it by 22:50.
One fuel truck and a propane storage tank containing 10 cubic meters of gas were destroyed. The driver of the fuel truck suffered minor burns.
This marks the second such incident in the region within the past 20 days. Senior officials from the regional and district emergency departments visited the site for further assessment.
