This is the second earthquake to strike Afghanistan in less than a week. On October 7, several strong earthquakes occurred in western Afghanistan, in Herat province, resulting in the deaths of more than 2,400 people.

The recent earthquakes in Afghanistan are a reminder of the country’s vulnerability to natural disasters. The country is located in a seismically active region, and earthquakes are common. However, the recent earthquakes have been particularly devastating, due to the country’s fragile infrastructure and lack of preparedness.

The international community is providing assistance to Afghanistan in the aftermath of the recent earthquakes. However, more needs to be done to help the country rebuild and recover.
