An International IT Academy opens in Tashkent

Investments in the IT sector in Uzbekistan attract the attention of not only local, but also international companies. Another confirmation of this is the opening of another IT Academy with the participation of foreign partners, Turanews.kz reports citing UzA.

On November 8-14, 2021, a delegation from IT Park visited the American International University as part of a visit to Bangladesh. During the visit, a joint decision was made to establish an International IT Academy in Tashkent.

As part of the implementation of joint projects, on March 23, the opening ceremony of the International IT Academy “Nextgen Academy” was held at the Tashkent branch of the IT Park.

The ceremony was opened by the Deputy Minister of Digital Technologies Rustam Karimjonov. In his speech, he informed the participants about the strategy “Digital Uzbekistan – 2030”, the projects implemented in Uzbekistan within the framework of the document, and further plans. The Deputy Minister noted the importance of the tasks of turning Uzbekistan into a regional IT hub and bringing the volume of exports to $1 billion, as well as the importance of projects implemented within the framework of international cooperation.
