An earthquake of magnitude 5.7 occurred in Tajikistan

An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.7 occurred at 06:37 local time in Tajikistan, Turanews.kz reports.

Tremors were recorded by a network of the Institute of Geology, Earthquake-Resistant Construction and Seismology of the Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan.

“The epicenter of the earthquake was located 366 kilometers south-east of Dushanbe city, 90 kilometers west of the Murgobi district of the Ministry of Education and Culture. The strength of the earthquake was located at a depth of 116.2 kilometers, it was 4.5 points in the center and 2 points in Murgob district. No loss of life or damage was recorded due to the earthquake” the report says.

At the end of February, several earthquakes were also recorded in the country.
