Almaty Museum Specialists To Exchange Experience At Leading Centers In Türkiye

The “Almaty City Museum Association” held a professional competition titled “Almaty – City of Museums” to mark World Tourist Guide Day. The initiative aimed to enhance guides’ qualifications and promote modern excursion methods.

With the support of the International Organization of Turkic Culture TURKSOY, the winners earned the opportunity to complete internships at major museums in Türkiye. During the program, participants will exchange experience with foreign colleagues and study advanced museum management practices.

The award ceremony was attended by the head of the Culture Department of Almaty, Daniyar Aliyev, who expressed gratitude to participants for their active engagement. TURKSOY’s representative in Kazakhstan, Nyshankul Karatayeva, conveyed congratulations on behalf of Secretary General Sultan Raev and presented the winners with official certificates granting international internship opportunities.

In addition, Altynzhan Kozhamuratova, head of the International Relations Department of the association, was awarded the TURKSOY medal for her significant contribution to the development of Turkic culture and arts. The initiative marks an important step toward strengthening the country’s museum sector at the international level.
