Aktau to Host Leading Surgeons of the Caspian Region

On June 19–20, the city of Aktau will host the 2nd Interdisciplinary Endosurgical Congress of the Caspian Region, one of the most anticipated medical events of the year.

President of the Kazakh Endosurgical Association, Vladimir Kotlobovsky, emphasized during a briefing that the congress is expected to play a vital role in advancing the region’s medical science.

The event will bring together top surgeons, researchers, and healthcare professionals from Kazakhstan, Türkiye, Russia, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Mongolia, and other countries. Attendees will share expertise, new technologies, complex case experiences, and innovative standards in endoscopic surgery.

The congress coincides with Aktau’s designation as the Cultural Capital of the Turkic World for 2025, giving the forum an added cultural and integrative significance. “This event symbolizes professional unity and cooperation across borders. Hosting such a high-level medical forum in Aktau is both an honor and a historical milestone,” Kotlobovsky stated.

According to medical expert Serik Tokpanov, the congress will feature hands-on master classes, scientific discussions, and interactive sessions. Pre-congress workshops were held on June 17–18 at clinical sites in Aktau.

The main sessions will be held at the “House of Friendship” and include live 3D HD, ICG, and 4K laparoscopic surgeries, roundtables, simulation training, and presentations on pediatric, gynecological, urological, abdominal, and endocrine surgery.

Advance registration is required to attend.
