A friendship group was established between Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and the parliaments of 5 Turkish states.

At the General Assembly of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, the proposal to establish friendship groups between the TRNC and the parliaments of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan was voted on.

While The proposal was accepted unanimously, with the adoption of the decision, 5 new friendship groups were formed in the Assembly of the Republic.

The friendship groups included deputies from the National Unity Party (UBP), the Republican Turkish Party (CTP), the Democrat Party (DP) and the Rebirth Party (YDP).
