815 Foreign Workers Deported from Kazakhstan for Illegal Work Permit Scheme

Following an investigation into migration regulations, the prosecutor’s office in Shymkent city revealed instances of foreign nationals using fraudulent medical certificates and insurance policies. As a result, 815 individuals were deported from the country for possessing illegally issued work permits.

Moreover, disciplinary action was taken against the head and a specialist from the Shymkent city employment and social protection department for their involvement in the scheme.

In total, over 6,000 migrant workers were found to have committed similar violations. To prevent such infractions in the future, authorities have implemented a new protocol requiring the verification of medical certificates via QR codes before acceptance.
