The 6th General Assembly Meeting of Turkic Universities Union was held in Turkestan

The General Assembly Meeting of Turkic Universities Union was held in the spiritual capital of Kazakhstan the Turkestan city, hosted by  the Yasawi University.

The General Assembly meeting, chaired by the Yasawi University, was held in Turkestan with the participation of member university rectors.

The opening speech of the meeting was made by the Yasawi University Chairman of the Board of Trustees Prof. Dr. Muhittin Simsek has done it. Simsek, who said that the University is a pioneer and an example with the studies it carries out in a wide range within the framework of the development of the academic and cultural activities of the Turkish world, wished success to the Azerbaijan State University of Economics, which will assume the term presidency of the Turkish Universities Association.

More than 50 rectors and university representatives from Turkey, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan and Hungary attended the 6th General Assembly of Turkic Universities Union which was chaired by Omer Kocaman. After the opening speeches of Deputy Secretary General of the Organization of Turkish States, Prof. Dr. Simsek, the University Rector Dr. Zhanar Temirbekova and Acting Rector Prof. Dr. Cengiz Tomar the agenda issues were discussed.
