5.2 magnitude earthquake strikes Azerbaijan

A 5.2 magnitude earthquake struck Azerbaijan on September 3, 2023, at 20:38 local time. The epicenter of the earthquake was located in the Kurdamir region, 14 km south of the Kurdemir station, Turanews.kz reports.

The earthquake was felt in several other regions of Azerbaijan, including Agdash, Akhsu, Goychay, Saatli, Beylagan, Yardimli, and Gabala. There are no reports of damage or injuries at this time.

The Republican Center for Seismological Service of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan is monitoring the situation and will provide updates as needed.
