300 Kazakhstanis to Participate in Referendum on Nuclear Power Plant Construction in Kyrgyzstan
A total of 300 Kazakhstani citizens residing in Kyrgyzstan have registered to take part in the upcoming republican referendum on the construction of a nuclear power plant, scheduled for October 6. Preparations for the voting process are in full swing at the polling station located near the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Bishkek.
Nurlan Gylmanov, chairman of precinct election commission No. 396, confirmed that the polling station is fully prepared for the event. “The voter list includes 300 Kazakhstanis, with most of them registered with the consulate. Information about the referendum has been shared on the official website of the Embassy of Kazakhstan and its social media pages. Additionally, Kazakhstani students and citizens temporarily staying in Kyrgyzstan were contacted by phone to participate in the vote,” Gylmanov stated.
To ensure a smooth voting experience, the polling station will feature information stands, banners, ballot boxes, and voting booths, all in line with Central Election Commission standards. Voting will take place from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM local time at the diplomatic mission of Kazakhstan, located at Chingiz Aitmatov Avenue, 95 “A” in Bishkek.
