Russia’s Gazprom and Kazakhstan sign roadmap for cooperation in gas sector

On January 18, Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Roman Sklyar held talks with Chairman of the Management Committee of Gazprom Alexey Miller during his working trip to St. Petersburg, the press office of the Prime Minister of the Republic reports.

“A working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, and Roman Sklyar, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, took place today. The parties discussed their current and prospective interaction. The roadmap for cooperation in the gas sector was signed at the meeting by Alexey Miller and Roman Sklyar,” the statement reads.

At the meeting, Roman Sklyar and Alexey Miller signed a roadmap for cooperation in the gas industry, which defines the main areas of interaction between the parties, in particular on the processing of Kazakh gas at the Orenburg GPP, the possibility of supplying Russian gas to Kazakhstan, as well as promising cooperation projects.

The parties also discussed the main issues of bilateral cooperation between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation in the field of natural gas.
