
More than 90 countries are expected to participate in the VI World Nomad Games. Currently, over 60 states have officially confirmed their attendance, while approximately 30 others are in the process of finalizing their confirmation, reports the Kabar news agency.
This was announced by the Minister of Culture of Kyrgyzstan, Mirbek Mambetaliev. According to him, the World Nomad Games continue to generate immense international interest annually. For comparison, the previous games held in Astana brought together around 86 nations, setting a record for international representation.
The minister also highlighted that this year’s World Nomad Games have received the official patronage of UNESCO, further enhancing the international status and global prestige of the event. “This is a great opportunity for Kyrgyzstan to promote itself on the global stage and showcase the rich heritage of nomadic civilization,” Mambetaliev stated.
The VI World Nomad Games will take place in Kyrgyzstan from August 31 to September 6, 2026. Organizers expect the event to be one of the largest international ethnosport spectacles of the year.
