
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, toured the new mosque of Turkestan, which has become a symbol of fraternal relations and spiritual cooperation between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. In the presence of the heads of state, verses from the Quran were recited in the central prayer hall.
The mosque was built as a gift from the leader of Uzbekistan to the residents of Turkestan and all citizens of Kazakhstan.
Its architecture seamlessly combines the traditions of Islamic architecture with modern construction technologies. The facade and interior spaces are adorned with national ornaments and elements of Islamic calligraphy. The minarets stand at a height of 61 meters. The mosque is equipped with a modern engineering infrastructure. The surrounding area features extensive landscaping, lighting systems, fountain installations, and designated recreation areas.
