The Kazakhstan national women’s taekwondo team has delivered a stellar performance at the high-profile Türkiye Open-2026 international tournament currently held in Antalya. According to reports from the National Olympic Committee, Kazakh female athletes secured a total of five medals, showcasing their growing dominance in the sport.
Aidana Kumartayeva led the charge for Kazakhstan, earning a silver medal in the under 46kg division after a grueling series of matches. The team’s success was bolstered by four bronze medals from Nodira Akhmedova (53kg), Aidana Sundetbay (53kg), Maria Sevostyanova (57kg), and Nazym Makhmutova (73kg). The tournament will reach its climax tomorrow as the men’s categories kick off for the final day of competition.
