Vice Minister of Agriculture Ermek Kenzhekhanuly represented Kazakhstan at the “Italy–Central Asia (C5) + Azerbaijan” business forum held in Uzbekistan. The high-level summit centered on driving innovation within sustainable agro-ecosystems, advancing regenerative agriculture, and accelerating digitalization across the sector.
A pivotal moment of the forum was the meeting between Kenzhekhanuly and Uzbekistan’s Minister of Agriculture, Ibrokhim Abdurakhmonov. Both nations confirmed a mutual commitment to scaling up bilateral cooperation, with a specific focus on climate change adaptation and reducing ecological risks through modern technology. Discussions also delved into deepening ties in the processing of grains, legumes, and oilseeds, alongside increasing mutual supplies of meat and dairy products.
Beyond regional partnerships, Kenzhekhanuly held talks with Italy’s Minister of Agriculture, Francesco Lollobrigida, to explore European investment and the transfer of advanced Italian agricultural technologies to the Kazakh market.
