President Tokayev Addresses Inaugural Session Of The Peace Council

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev spoke at the inaugural session of the Peace Council held in Washington at the institute named after Donald Trump. In his remarks, he thanked the U.S. leader for convening what he described as a historic gathering and stressed the need for practical action over symbolic declarations.

Tokayev said the newly created body reflects emerging global realities and can strengthen multilateral peace efforts. Kazakhstan expressed readiness to contribute to stabilization and reconstruction efforts in Gaza.

According to President, Kazakh companies could take part in rebuilding infrastructure, including housing, schools, and hospitals. The country is also prepared to provide humanitarian grain supplies and allocate more than 500 scholarships for Palestinian students over the next five years. In addition, Kazakhstan offered to share its internationally recognized expertise in e-government and digital transformation, as well as deploy medical units and observers to international stabilization missions if required.

Tokayev confirmed Kazakhstan’s intention to join the Abraham Accords, viewing them as a pragmatic platform for economic and humanitarian cooperation. He also proposed establishing a special Peace Council award named after Donald Trump.

Trump, in turn, thanked participants and described Kazakhstan as a “beautiful and prosperous nation.” Council members presented reconstruction plans for Gaza, outlining funding mechanisms, security arrangements, and infrastructure priorities.

The high-level meeting also featured addresses by senior Council officials and several world leaders, all emphasizing coordinated international efforts to ensure long-term regional stability.
