В столице Турции прошли торжественные мероприятия, посвящённые 100-летию туркменского кинематографа. История национального кино Туркменистана берёт начало в 1926 году в Ашхабаде и сегодня продолжает развиваться на международной арене.

The 100th anniversary of Turkmen cinema was celebrated in Ankara with a series of cultural events highlighting the nation’s rich cinematic heritage. Turkmen filmmaking traces its origins back to 1926 in Ashgabat and has since gained international recognition.

The International Organization of Turkic Culture TURKSOY, in cooperation with the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Ankara, hosted an international gathering titled “Turkmen Cinema: From Past to Present.”

Among the keynote speakers were Turkmenistan’s Minister of Culture Atageldi Shamuradov and TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev. They emphasized that cinema serves not only as an artistic expression but also as a pillar of national memory and spiritual identity. Turkmen Ambassador to Türkiye Mekan Ishanguliyev noted that such events strengthen cultural bridges among Turkic nations.
