Kazakhstan–Pakistan Business Forum Kicks Off in Islamabad

The Kazakhstan–Pakistan Business Forum has officially opened in Islamabad as part of the state visit of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Ministry of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan reported.

The forum aims to deepen trade, investment and industrial cooperation between the business communities of the two countries. It serves as the central economic platform of the presidential visit, creating opportunities for direct dialogue between government agencies, quasi-public sector representatives and private businesses from Kazakhstan and Pakistan.

The agenda features a plenary session with the participation of heads of профильные ministries, national companies, financial institutions and major private firms. The program also includes B2B and B2C meetings, as well as a formal exchange ceremony of signed commercial agreements.

A total of 143 delegates are representing Kazakhstan, including 24 from the quasi-public sector and 119 business representatives. The Pakistani side is represented by 180 companies.

The forum is expected to result in agreements across a wide range of sectors, including the establishment of joint investment platforms, development of transport and logistics corridors utilizing Pakistan’s port infrastructure, e-commerce and postal logistics, banking and Islamic finance, industrial cooperation, production of electric buses, sugar, construction materials and paints, as well as collaboration in IT, GovTech, startup ecosystems, textiles, healthcare and the defense industry.
