Almaty-based FC Kairat made history by reaching the main stage of the UEFA Champions League for the first time, marking a major milestone for Kazakh football and generating significant revenue for the club.
Kairat received €18.62 million for qualifying for the league phase, equivalent to approximately 11.23 billion tenge. The club also earned an additional €700,000 (around 422 million tenge) after securing a draw against Cyprus side Pafos FC.
In total, Kairat’s participation in the Champions League league phase brought in €19.32 million, or about 11.65 billion tenge.
In the final round, the Kazakh champions narrowly lost 2–3 away to England’s Arsenal.
