Gold prices rise sharply in Kazakhstan amid global rally

Gold prices in Kazakhstan have climbed significantly, reflecting trends seen on global markets. According to the National Bank of Kazakhstan, the price of one gram of gold has reached 82,164.45 tenge, up from 71,300.21 tenge at the beginning of 2026.

Internationally, gold has been setting new historical records. On January 26, the price of a troy ounce surpassed the $5,000 mark for the first time and later rose to $5,200.

Market analysts attribute the surge to a weakening US dollar, heightened geopolitical tensions and ongoing economic uncertainty. Since the start of January, global gold prices have risen by around 20%, with weekly growth exceeding 5%.
