A high-level meeting aimed at advancing energy cooperation between Kazakhstan and Turkey was held in Ankara.
Chairman of KazMunayGas Askhat Khassenov met with Türkiye’s Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar to discuss ways to deepen strategic ties in the oil and gas sector.
The talks focused on intensifying cooperation between Kazakhstan’s national oil company and Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO). It was noted that promising joint geological exploration projects underway in both countries are now moving into an active implementation stage.
Khassenov emphasized that cooperation with Turkish partners goes beyond hydrocarbon production, offering opportunities for the introduction of innovative technologies and the development of professional expertise. The constructive dialogue with the ministry was described as a key factor in strengthening mutual trust.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to long-term and systematic collaboration, viewing joint energy projects as a driver for economic growth in both Kazakhstan and Türkiye.
