A meeting on the development of creative industries was held in Astana between Kazakhstan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Culture and Information, Aida Balayeva, Global Director of Yango Group Daniil Shuleyko, and Head of Yandex Qazaqstan Timur Shalekenov, the Ministry of Culture and Information reported.
During the talks, the parties reviewed prospects for advancing Kazakhstan’s creative economy and explored opportunities to expand cooperation between the government and one of the world’s leading technology companies. Aida Balayeva highlighted the important role played by Yandex Qazaqstan in building digital and creative ecosystems, as well as the company’s contribution to supporting talent and innovative initiatives.
Special attention was given to the activities of the Creative Industries Development Fund. The meeting outlined the Fund’s key focus areas, including project acceleration and incubation, development of creative initiatives, infrastructure growth, and promotion of Kazakhstani creative products in international markets. In this context, the possibility of Yandex Qazaqstan joining the Fund as a strategic partner was discussed.
The meeting concluded with confirmation of mutual interest in establishing long-term and systematic cooperation, as well as readiness to jointly develop practical mechanisms for collaboration in the fields of creative economy and digital technologies.
